Vacations are always nice, but it’s easily just as nice to be coming back home to one’s own bed and creature comforts. This was a good vacation, but I’m sure happy to be on the return track right now. More about the Con and other activities later. Right now I have to finish packing for the journey home.

Ha ha. All that furry crap was hardly in evidence, actually, which was a big change from previous years I’d attended/organized the Con. Lots of big corporate names were there, like Lego, Sony, Nintendo, Hasbro, and the Sci-Fi Channel. Even with the vastly expanded dealer floor and convention center, there was almost no furry stuff, even among the attendees. It used to be everywhere, and now apparently the success of the Con has attracted more mainstream content, driving the furries back underground (though, regretfully, not six feet under). |
